Get with it, France.

Those who know me know how much I love Halloween. Sadly, I feel as though my affections have been somewhat squandered due to the fact that France has just not caught on. When you think about, there is no logical reason for the French to NOT celebrate it. I mean, they celebrate All Saint's Day, which is where Halloween originated from. All Saint's Day is on November 1 (the day after Halloween) and it is a day to celebrate the dead. Schools even take a fall break, a week off of school centered around All Saint's Day! Can you imagine if we had an entire week off for Halloween in the States?! Haha!

Anyways, I have been doing a little research and there are definitely some Halloween events happening here in Paris, but yet, the same great Halloween spirit is just not present. But we will survive, and will make the most of this great great holiday.

Happy Halloween!
