first week of school!

well it went quite well I must say. I'm really excited about both painting and drawing and I think I am going to learn A LOT! I am also taking print making and photography which are both new to me so that will be very fun. Sculpture will be interesting... I'm already butting heads (and got into a huge argument/discussion) with my professor about just about everything, including (but not limited to) the meaning and purpose of art, level of abstraction and the artist's intention. So it should be an interesting semester to say the least. He has also given us VERY specific assignments, which is not what I'm used to. But I'm determined to not let his stubbornness get in the way of what I want to do. It is my art after all, not his. (And I'm stubborner anyways). I miss Ty's class!!!

And then there is art history. Art from 1900-1960 which is an amazing time period. I have never really had a crush on a professor... until now! I am in love. I think I was giggling the entire class. Before I got to class I was planning on dropping it cuz I'm really busy I don't actually need this class, but needless to say I am sticking with it now ;)

On friday I was in class from 8:30 to 7:15... which I will be doing every friday... VDM.* But after class I went home, hung out with Fozz, got ready and went right out with my fellow certificate student friends. We had a great night and I even got to wear the shoes! Tonight... fireworks!
