A feeling came over me

This is one of my favorite quotes about Paris. It's from the movie Paris Je t'aime. If you haven't seen it, you really should. This segment is about the middle-aged, single, American woman who goes to Paris to work on her french. This is part of her french essay that she wrote for her french class back in the US about her trip to Paris. Makes my heart glow every time I hear it. I am/WILL BE this woman!

"Sitting there, alone in a foreign country, far from my job and everyone I know, a feeling came over me. It was like remembering something I'd never known before or had always been waiting for, but I didn't know what. Maybe it was something I'd forgotten or something I've been missing all my life. All I can say is that I felt, at the same time, joy and sadness. But not too much sadness, because I felt alive. Yes, alive. That was the moment I fell in love with Paris. And I felt Paris fall in love with me."

That is exactly how I feel every time I am in Paris, and was never able to put words to it until I saw this movie! Amazing, isn't it? I hope that everyone will experience that one day.
